7 Digital Products You Can Create and Sell This Week

7 Digital Products You Can Create and Sell This Week

BishopAL BishopAL Super Moderator Author

You don't need months to create your first digital product. You may already have everything you need to get started.

One thing I want people in the Resell Circle community to understand is that creating a digital product doesn't have to be complicated. Sometimes we talk ourselves out of getting started because we think we need to write a 200-page book, record a huge course, or spend thousands of dollars developing something.

You don't.

Some of the best digital products are simple. They solve one problem, answer one question, or help someone accomplish something faster. And if you already have knowledge or experience in a particular area, you could potentially create your first product this week.

Here are seven ideas to get you thinking.

1. Create an eBook

An eBook is still one of the easiest ways to package what you know. You don't have to write your life story. Pick one subject you understand and teach someone how to accomplish something.

Maybe you know how to start a particular type of business, improve credit, prepare meals, manage rental property, organize a household, market a service, or develop a skill. Take what you've learned and organize it into a simple step-by-step resource.

Remember, people aren't buying pages. They're buying the knowledge contained on those pages.

2. Create a Checklist

Never underestimate the value of a good checklist.

If you've developed a process that you follow repeatedly, someone else may be willing to pay for that process. A checklist can help customers avoid mistakes and make sure they don't forget important steps.

Think about your own experience. Is there something you do where you could say, "Before you do this, make sure you've done these 10 things"?

You may already have the beginning of a digital product.

3. Create an Online Course

If your subject requires more explanation, consider turning your knowledge into a short online course.

You don't necessarily need 30 videos. Start by teaching one clear process from beginning to end. Your phone, computer, or presentation software may be enough to get started.

The important thing isn't having a television-quality production. It's whether someone can follow your teaching and get a result.

4. Create a Template

Templates sell because they save people time.

Think about documents you've already created for yourself or your business. You may have a business form, budget sheet, social media calendar, proposal, marketing plan, email template, or other resource that someone else could customize instead of creating from scratch.

That's valuable because you're not just giving someone information. You're giving them a head start.

5. Create an Audio Product

Not everyone wants to sit down and read an eBook or watch a video. Some people would rather listen while they're driving, exercising, or working.

If you're comfortable speaking, consider creating an audio lesson, training series, motivational program, or educational recording. Choose a subject you understand, organize your main points, and teach it in your own voice.

Sometimes the simplest way to create a product is simply to teach what you know.

6. Create a Workbook

A workbook takes your knowledge one step further because it gets the customer involved.

Instead of only telling someone what to do, give them a place to actually do the work. Include questions, exercises, planning pages, worksheets, goal-setting sections, or action steps.

For example, if you're teaching someone how to start a business, your workbook could help them identify their customer, choose their services, calculate pricing, develop a marketing plan, and establish their first goals.

Now your information has become an experience.

7. Create a Step-by-Step Guide

Sometimes people don't need an entire course. They just need somebody to show them exactly what to do next.

That's where a step-by-step guide can become extremely valuable.

Think about something you've done successfully several times. Break the process down from beginning to end. Include the steps, resources, warnings, shortcuts, and lessons you've learned along the way.

You already paid for some of that knowledge through your own time, mistakes, and experience. Someone else may gladly pay to avoid having to learn everything the hard way.

Don't Try to Create All Seven

I want to make this part clear: you don't need seven products this week. You need one.

Choose the idea that best matches what you already know. Then identify one problem you can help someone solve.

Your first goal isn't to build a giant digital product business overnight. Your first goal is to finish something useful and put it in front of people.

Once you've done that, you can improve it, expand it, bundle it with another product, or create something new.

Start With What You Already Have

I believe a lot of people are sitting on valuable information without realizing it. You've learned things through your career, business, family, hobbies, successes, and even your mistakes.

Somebody else is trying to figure out something you've already figured out.

That's one of the reasons I created Resell Circle. I want people to recognize that knowledge can become an asset. You don't always need another job or another side hustle. Sometimes you need to look at what you already know differently.

So here's my challenge to you this week: pick one idea, solve one problem, and create one product.

Don't wait until everything is perfect.

Start small. Start with what you know. But most importantly, start.
