    Reflection: Moving Without Feelings

This teaching was powerful—and honestly, ironic—because it met me exactly where I am.

I’m so used to relying on my feelings to confirm what God is doing. For a long time, my decisions, discernment, and sense of direction were tied to how something made me feel. But in this season, God is moving in a way that isn’t emotional—it’s evidential. I don’t necessarily feel excited, scared, or overwhelmed. I simply know it’s Him because things are coming to pass that I did not manipulate, force, or emotionally will into existence.

When I really thought about it, I realized I haven’t done anything different to cause this shift. I haven’t suddenly prayed harder, moved smarter, or worked more strategically. And yet—things are aligning. That alone tells me this isn’t about effort or emotion. It’s God.

This message outlined something I didn’t even realize I was learning: I’m no longer being led by how things feel, but by obedience and alignment. The first thing that stood out was this truth: you can’t live your life off comfort. Comfort disguises itself as wisdom. What feels safe often feels “right,” but comfort can keep you stagnant while convincing you that you’re being cautious.

The second truth hit just as hard: everything cannot be fear-based. I’ve been intentionally working through fear, and now I’m seeing it clearly for what it is. Fear doesn’t change outcomes. It doesn’t stop what God has ordained—whether good or hard. All fear does is make the process more uncomfortable and, at times, delay what God is trying to release. If something is aligned with God’s Word, my fear won’t cancel it—but it can slow me down.

And the third point sealed it: move now.

Don’t wait to feel ready. Don’t wait for emotional confirmation. Don’t wait for God to shout from the sky. Once you know the assignment, obedience is the confirmation. My pastor used to say, “You’re not in trouble until God makes it plain—and God knows how to make it plain.” That’s true. God is clear when clarity is required. This season isn’t about waiting for more signs; it’s about trusting what He’s already revealed.

God is teaching me to know Him differently—beyond feelings, beyond comfort, beyond fear. This is alignment. This is movement. This is obedience without emotion.

    And it’s beautiful.
