So this week was quiet-quiet for my store. Like… library on a Tuesday quiet.
I did my lives, I showed up, I did what I normally do — but the results? Clicks came through (I got around 60 clicks this week)… and then the conversions said:
“Ma’am… we’re just here to look.”
No sales. No new customers. No new subscribers. Nothing in my notifications but vibes.
So when Thursday hit and I saw $39 land in my account… I froze.
Because in my head I was expecting like… $2.70. If that. So I start doing that thing we all do:
“Okay… who bought what?” “Where did this come from?” “Did I miss an order?” “Did somebody accidentally love me financially?”
I go back, digging… and realize:
Nobody bought anything. No unique conversions. No new customers. Just… $39 anyway.
And THAT is why I keep talking about subscription-based income / residual income. Because that $39 didn’t show up because I “closed” something this week — it showed up because I’ve been building something that continues to pay even when the week is quiet.
And listen… that covered my subscription and could still buy me a coffee if I wanted to. ☕ It may not be a “quit your job today” moment, but it is a “wait… this actually works” moment.
Because my 9–5 never once randomly sent me $39 on a Thursday like, “Hey bestie, we appreciate you existing.”
This is the part that excites me: this number can stack. The store keeps providing value. Customers stay connected because the benefits are real. And the only thing I have to do is keep bringing more people into the umbrella so I can have more weeks like this… and bigger ones too.
So yeah… I’m calling this a win. A quiet week… and still got paid.
And to my customers — thank you. For real. Y’all are the reason residual is even possible.
