Example 1: The Hallway
Let's forget the technical stuff for a minute.
Imagine Resell Circle is a building with a bunch of hallways.
Your VPN is the hallway you're standing in.
When you first enter that hallway, Resell Circle remembers who brought you there.
So let's say you entered through someone's referral.
Now that hallway remembers:
You came from Person A.
You can walk around Resell Circle all day.
You can visit your store.
You can click somebody else's referral link.
You can even click your own referral link.
But you're still standing in the same hallway.
So when the website says:
Referred by: Person A
it's telling you what your hallway remembers.
It's NOT telling you who owns the link you just clicked.
Your referral link is just your entrance.
When a NEW person clicks your referral link, they're not standing in your hallway.
They're standing in their own hallway.
Their hallway has its own referral information.
What you see on your phone does not travel through your referral link and appear on their phone.
That's the part that causes all the confusion.
So remember this:
VPN = your hallway.
Referral link = your entrance.
“Referred by” = who YOUR hallway remembers.
Your hallway and your referral link are not the same thing.
So when you click your own referral link and see somebody else's name, it does not mean that person's name is attached to your link.
It means their name is attached to the hallway you're currently standing in.
And if your hallway changes?
The new hallway doesn't know you yet.
The first referral you visit in that hallway can become the person that hallway remembers.
That's it.
Your hallway remembers your referral.
Your link brings in someone else.
Their hallway is separate from yours.

Imagine Resell Circle has a bunch of chutes.
When you first arrive, you come through someone's chute.
Let's say you come through Person A's chute.
The system remembers:
You came through Person A.
Once you're inside, you get your own chute.
That chute is your referral link.
Here's the important part:
The chute you came through and the chute you own are NOT the same chute.
You came through Person A's chute.
But now you have your own chute for other people to come through.
You can go look at your chute.
You can click your chute.
You can click someone else's chute.
But none of that changes which chute you originally came through.
So if you click your own referral link and see:
